Born in New York City to Caribbean-born parents, Dana is a first-generation American, a licensed attorney, and passionate about people and cultures. Dana completed an accelerated first-year toward a Juris Doctor degree at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Due to relocation, she finished her law degree on a partial scholarship at Barry University School of Law.

 

Dana completed her law degree in 23 consecutive months, and was awarded the highest grade in her Trial course. She is certified as a teacher of English language to adults (CELTA), graduating among the top 10% of graduates world-wide. Dana graduated cum laude from the honors program at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she majored in Broadcast Journalism. Prior to pursuing law, Dana enjoyed her time in the entertainment field.

In 2001, she became the first African American woman to represent Massachusetts at Miss USA®, the nationally televised pageant formerly co-owned by now-United States President Donald J. Trump and NBC. In 1999, she won the title of Miss Jamaica US.Dana has undergone extensive, focused post-law school education and training in the area of immigration law.

 

Dana is a New Jersey licensed attorney (by examination), and a member of the American Bar Association. She is authorized, by law, to practice immigration law in all 50 United States and its territories. Dana is also authorized to appear before the Executive Office for Immigration  Review nationwide (EOIR, Immigration Court), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and United States embassies and consulates worldwide. When Dana is not advocating for her clients, she enjoys photography, writing and watching documentaries and feature-films.
